We will be there with some cars set up in the paddock with Olthoff. No "Superformance Parade Laps" this year as they are still a little nervous after last years event.

Jim Kellogg 08-28-2012 04:45 PM

Rick, is that answer locked in stone?

I can always call Michael P and appeal if you would like me to.
If my car is done, I can offer to let him drive it!

Let me know. It IS a Ford based event this year!
Jim

Well thanks to Mr. Kellogg and his connections (the Southern Tier Mafia?), the parade lap option MAY BE open.

Who would be interested on Sunday in a couple of spirited laps behind the pace car (and trust me, they were SPIRITED last year)? Let me know and I will compile the list. This would likely be around the lunch break on Sunday. Either post here or email me rick(AT)timemachinesauto.com. While this is for Superformance owners and cars, we have allowed some "brand Xs" to join us when there has been room. Like last year when we allowed one of the new Kar Kraft GT Mk IVs and an ERA to join us.

Check in would be at our display in the upper paddock at the Olthoff Racing/Time Machines Motorsports display and will require signing a waiver for all drivers and passengers.

Ross,
You have made an amazing recovery. We are thankful for all the prayers and support from many through your long recovery from last year's accident.

That said, since my MKIII has been tied up the last year or so, I am willing to drive one of your beautiful MKII for an extended test drive. Give me a couple of years or so with it and I can rack up 50 - 60K miles for you and even write up a testimonial! Of course, I would be willing to pay for the fuel :-)

And actually, they did NOT tell me you couldn't drive this year. But they didn't say you COULD, either!!!

If you can't make the event, we hope to see a couple of your cars there!

And JB, hope to see you and your beautiful roadster this year. How's that new motor?
Jim Kellogg

Riverside racer 08-31-2012 08:46 AM

Jim,
Thank you All for the kind words and thoughts that most definitely helped me pull through.
I now celebrate two birthdays! 61 in August and (feels like) 81 in September!
We are taking a FIA and the roadster down and JB if you like I can drive you around with pleasure!!
Look forward to seeing you all again.
Ross

You Guys are the Best!

Jim, you are welcome to take my car for a cruise. It is running Really Stout.
I would ride with you anytime Ross

Debating on whether or not to go... weather looks a little iffy. Rick, where are you staying? Red Carpet Inn in Horseheads only has single bed rooms available. Any definite word yet on parade laps?

Hey Rick, my buddy didn't tell me he definitely wanted to go until yesterday so there aren't any rooms available. If the weather holds out, we're planning on coming out just for the day. What day would be better, Saturday or Sunday?

Mark IV 09-05-2012 09:20 AM

Either day, parade laps will be on Sunday.

I gaurantee if you call around Horseheads you can vget a room.

Mark IV 09-05-2012 01:03 PM

OK,

Parade laps are a GO! Sunday at 12:30/12:45 or so thanks to our good friend Jim Kellogg.:3DSMILE:

See us in the upper paddock near the South fence, Olthoff Racing/Time Machines Motorsports display. You must sign up with us and all people in the car must sign the waiver and wear the wristbands we will have. See us by 11:30 AM Sunday to sign up.

Lets have some fun!

JBCOBRA 09-05-2012 03:08 PM
