I agree with Klotz being somewhat helpful. Put mine right on the money if you ask me. I add a whole can when I fill up. 16 oz Klotz to about 10-12 gallons of fuel.

It also stabilizes ethanol enriched gas and acts as a fuel preservative for storage.

Besides, it smells really good coming out of the sidepipes!!!!!

My Roush 427R tends to run on when I switch the key off. This running 93 octane and 34 degree total advance. Adding 3 gallons or so of 110 octane to a 17.5 gallon tank of fuel corrects the issue. Non scientific, real world results. FWIW.

My KCR 427W has 612 hp, & a pretty snotty cam in it. I always run premium (91 octane in Cali) but occasionally have problems with dieseling (run-on). I dump a bottle of the cheapest octane boost I can find (typically Gumout octane boost at Walmart) with each fillup... seems to help. I don't expect any performance enhancement, but it does seem to help with the dieseling in hot weather. I realize it may be purely psychological, which is why I don't invest a whole lost of money in it.

Using K&S leaded 110 racing fuel or Toluene is not the same as a can of additive. I would expect your high compression Cobra to run better on the racing fuel. I wouldn't run pure Toluene in my $10-$20k engine. Pure Toluene does not have the proper light components for easy starting and smooth acceleration. I expect a little Toluene would be fine, but not 100%. Funny thing is when they blend racing fuel it is blended to suit a specific engine size and type. Most racing fuels today have alcohols. Pure Ethanol is like 120 octane and NASCAR fuel is 15% ethanol. E85 is about 100 octane. But this is really a different topic.

I have a chart somewhere that shows the mixing rates of different octanes......naturally,I can't find it right now.......
I never ran pure toluene and wouldn't recommend it,I used it to increase the octane of pump gas and if my memory is correct, one gallon to 5 gallons of 93 octane pump gas would give an octane rating of around 96.5.........

BTW: toluene is what the oil refineries use to adjust the octane of a batch of gas when it is made/tested.......
