Default A new beginning. Trying to identify Cobra

Hello everyone. Just joined Club Cobra and happy to be here. I am, unfortunately, just starting to rebuild my dad's cobra kit since my brother decided to change the body lines abruptly. I have alot of information on the pieces used but none on the body and frame. I was hoping these pics and your knowledge would help. Still working out claim with the insurance company and I am looking to replace the body and frame but they want to know original manuf for body. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, any ideas on body/frame kit? I have looked into Shell Valley and Premier Cobras but would love the input of those more experienced than me. Thanks again. Look forward to being here for awhile.
I am still trying to attach the pics but saved them as an album 'broken cobra". Not sure why the wont attach. Prob not the arrows but the indian.

Default B&b

Ron, at the risk of sounding even more ignorant, what's a B&B? I think the car came from VA, has mustang fox body running gear with mustang II ifs and ford 9in rear. Do those pieces make sense? Thanks again.

Ok. That is starting to make sense. I know it was built down south. I believe the previous owner told my dad it was built or came from Missouri. Any thoughts on replacing / starting over? It was finished in 1998 so I'm sure there have been improvements since. I have been looking at Shell Valley but we are in Mass. Just starting looking at FFR. Any thoughts?

Keep in mind that the running gear, suspension, etc, that you plan on switching over to a new frame, would be easiest, if it is designed for what you currently have.

The FFR's basic frame is designed with Mustang 5.0 or the later later Mustang 4.6 components in mind. Not Mustang II. Common rear end used in the FFR is a 8.8" Ford. You can also order a frame designed for IRS. FFR can also supply a frame with mounts for a Big Block, or a SB Ford.

SChu2787:
I was at show last night parked next to a B& B and was able to see it in detail and spoke to the owner. You might want to check the top of the front end meber of the chassis it has s plate with like a vin number, he told me tht B&B uses that manner of identifying their cars. His car is equipped with the Mustang II front suspension components.
I hope it helps, the car looks very nice by the way.
Welcome to our Cobra world

Does it still look like it does in the pictures or are the pictures from before your brother worked on it?

If it still looks like it does in the pictures, I say just drive it. But thats just me.

The main dash looks thicker than a B&B. The tunnel doesn't look right either. Open the hood and give us some pictures. The vin should be on the right upper frame by the A arm mount and under the front nose you migh have the name B&B glassed in the fiberglass. The gauges were usually Faria but not always.

B&B dash without the tail

If it does turn out to be a B&B you can get the body and parts from Fiberglass 34 Coupes and Cobras by McGill Manufacturing he has new body molds and Barry was partners in B&B for years. Trust me on this one.

Another new company that owns the original LA Exotics body molds that B&B came from is http://bamfkitcars.com/. I have seen their body which is vinylester and was a lot better quality than the body I got. They are basically selling the same car, but are just getting started.
