That fracture is not where you would expect it to be considering the loading it would see in normal operation.

Are you running solid or hydraulic lifters? Do the rollers tips still rotate smoothly? Any signs that the tip roller is damaged?

I agree, Scorpion did step up to the plate. No questions asked.
I'm running hydraulic rollers - don't know the spring rates.
9k on the motor - built by Smeding Performance in '07.
My two buddies that found them on their Superformance cars with Roush motors - one bought his in '07 and the other was earlier, like '05.
With the crack being only on one side and no signs of stress or dimpling on the other, I don't think there was any movement of the roller. But I think they could well have been one good thrashing or so away from failing

Thanks for the info, should be an easy and quick check this weekend. This is why my days of owning classics and replicas are comming to an end, you just get tired of it. God bless Ford, GM,Toyota who make cars that last forever. IMHO 2007 to 2009 were bad years for aftermarket parts, that when the Chinese were buying all the raw materials!

Could be the cam that's noisy. Even some hydraulic rollers sound like sewing machines due to the lobe design. The Comp Xtreme Energy and XFI lobes have a bit of noise to them.
