Default Superformance Price

Just wondering about a car. If you have a Superformance with a Roush engine (15k), Smiths gauges, Moto Lita, etc... and around 5-10k miles on the engine is 50-52k asking too much? Just trying to learn about pricing here before I begin to make offers on Superformance cars. These are damn nice cars, I just see a lot of Superformance cars going for 55-60k or more. I think that is a little overpriced, correct?

Roush 427W or something else? If the latter, I think $55k is at the tip top of the purchase market (you can ask for whatever you want, of course).

No,

Look at the current cost to duplicate a high-line car.

Of course the Roush name bumps the cost, a Southern, Keith Craft or Ford Racing engine will be less due to the initial cost difference. Consider the installer, some are known for doing a well thought out and high quality install and completion.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Unless you come across a "divorce fire sale" or other such motivated seller, you will pay a price comensurate with the hardware and quality of the completion.

Asking and getting are usually very far apart.

Mark IV made some very good points when considering which Cobra to purchase. Another one is this is a buyer's market and the Cobra market is relatively small. Don't be afraid to negotiate.
