I'm looking for a weekend cruiser, looking close to original however, no need to be perfect. Based on my budget (35k or less), Kirkham and Era are out of reach. I'll have to go Shell Valley, BnB, FF, etc.
Motor could be worked 351 or a 427- as long as its Ford and has 400+ hp. Definitely looking for a manual tranny.
Color is my issue... I'm stuck on silver or black. If I find one that meets all other requirements and is blue, I could go blue as well. The blue cobras just seem too common (at least within Cobras ;-)).
Thanks again guys

Chris,
The above list works, watch how they are titled if you are buying something previously built, as PA is closing their loopholes and you may be required to re-apply for a PA "Specialty Contructed" title,
Shame you could not come up a bit more though , especially since you are in PA.

Hey Bill- Thanks for the input. Have you seen where PA makes you re-register a kit car when bringing it into the state? I was hoping to maintain whatever registration was on it would carry into PA.

I have a few bounce back from Harrisburg and I've had to go through the whole Spec Const process from scratch. It really depends on how it is titled out of state. I would say only 20% get bounced back which means that 80% fly through the system without an issue.

What a hypocrite. You're advocating financing a Cobra purchase? Whatever happened to you droning on and on about making sure that a buyer pays 100% cash and to make sure that it's money that they could throw away and not it impact their financial picture.

Uhhh, well, damn. I guess you have me there. But, it's such a small amount, that if Bill just took back a two year note for fixed payments of $300/mo., I think that would be ok, all considered.

Chris
I am in Voorhees NJ-you are welcome to check out my silver BDR anytime to give you an idea of what the car is built like. 35k is a low # for a new car unless you were talking about the rolling ass'y only in which case you have good options.
I looked for about a year and couldn't find anything (already assembled) that I would feel comfortable (as safe as you can be in these cars anyway) driving even used. The #'s started in the 40's and went up from there
Feel free to inspect my car anytime.

Gary- Thanks for the offer to check out your car. If you're available, I may take you up on it in the next few weeks. I'm heading over your way a few days each week through Nov.
I'm really looking for a completed, used car- a few years old and a few thousand miles works fine for me. As you mention though, a lot of what I'm finding, I'm not really happy with.
I'll reach out to you when I plan to be in the Vorhees area and see if you're available.
Thanks again,
Chris
