Default Superformance cobra fan

Hello, I'm new to this site and a new superformance cobra owner. I am working on repairing the car I bought. I have found that parts very hard to find. I am looking for a fan blade, not one of the little ones in front of the radiator, but one of the functional ones located inside on the shroud. It is mounted to a Bosch motor, but the fan itself only says "Germany" and a few numbers. Anyone have any idea where I can find this part? I looked on the hillbank/ superformance site, but it is not listed there. Any help would be appreciated. Are there other parts sources for these cars? Thanks in advance for your help

What you would think to be an obscure question has actually been asked so many times that I remembered Panavia's post on it. Here: Broken fan blade

What Blas said. Dennis Olthoff can identify and source any part you could possibly need for any Superfromance product ever made.

Thank you Blas and Patrickt. I will call Dennis olthoff and start looking at 88 jettas, and hope I find a match. It's hard for me to fathom how difficult it is to find parts for this car being built so recently, when I just finished building a 45 yr old car and had a much easier time sourcing parts. (Granted it was a very popular 68 Camaro). Thanks again for your help. I am greatfull for a site like this where there are knowledgable people that are able and so willing to help.
Brent
P. S. Blas I have ordered one of your wiring diagrams, and am looking forward to all the valuable information. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Brent, you will find Blas wiring diagram extremely helpful and far superior to any other. Lots of help here for you to tap. I would also recommend you look at the Superformance Cobra Owners Forum (SCOF) where there is a wealth of information including a cross reference parts page and technical help. Rick

From the research I have done on our cars fans.
The fan assembly (part number #0 130 107 262) was never supplied on a car sold in North America.
My notes suggest looking for info on a VW GOLF JETTA A3 (1993-1999) What-ever that is. The fans were common on Europe model VW's and Audi's.
This info came directly from BOSCH the manufacturer of the fans and motors.
I believe Bosch has discontinued the fan assembly model too.
You can source a aftermarket fan assembly on the web, but I have never found just the blade available.

If I understood your post correctly, you only need a fan blade and not the entire fan motor assembly, that's why I suggested contacting Dennis Olthoff. You could replace the broken blade with a similar sized fan blade, but I would make both blades the same in style.

Thanks for the kind words regarding the MKIII Wiring Diagrams. I'm always happy to help out.

For future reference, after a junkyard excursion, a 1989 Jetta has the perfect match!
Thank you for your help everyone.

Brent,
Is it an exact match for the motor and the blade or just the blade?
Or perhaps just a 10" blade that fits?
Good find...

Blas. The blade is an exact match, same numbers and markings exactly. The motor I removed it from looked very similar as well, except the connector has three wires, whereas my motors only have two. I didn't compare numbers on the motor, just the blade.

Excellent, then my info on the motor is still appears correct. I'll update my collection with the replacement blade info you discovered.... Great find.
p.s.Three wires on the motor is probably for an air conditioned car.
