Now that's funny! My friend said he wasn't sure of the number, so from what is mentioned above about it being a coupe now, I'm guessing that is not the correct number. The car in question was owned by Dick H. in the western suburbs of Chicago - but I don't know when he sold the car. I was told that the wheels were painted white for possible use on a Healey when different wheels were put on the Cobra. I'll ask him to do a bit more digging and see if he can come up with the actual chassis number.
In the mean time, can anyone tell by the markings whether these are legitimate AC wheels or if they're just off some other British car of similar vintage? |
