Trucks have been useing them for years, and now new cars my GT 500 SS has them on the exhaust!

Torca does make another butt-clamp - actually a couple of others. One is the EasySeal, the other is the TorcTite butt-clamp. Those are much thinner material - they are around .019". I've only known about this one for the past 4 years or so.

ERA & Cashburn, you have not been using THIS coupler since 1989 - maybe TorcTite clamps?? The actual heavier couplers (this product) started aftermarket life maybe 4 years ago. Prototyping of this product began around 2004.
