What is the best way (product) to polish/shine your pentroof valve covers?

For polishing cast aluminum, which has not been anodized or plated, I have had good luck with Turtle Wax Polishing Compound.

pentroof were the chrome metal, in that case i would say a chrome polish. - or windex. -- but dont get the windex on the aluminum.

It's generally available at most places, and can be used by anyone except Generation X.
They wouldn't know what to do with it, let alone what it is
