Default Looking for used 427 FE headers

I am looking for a set of used 427 FE headers for use on an engine run-in stand. Anyone have any used ones that are gathering dust that they want to get rid of?

(Note: nothing wrong with my engine, just checking the new pan, etc for leaks on a friend's stand before I put it back in the car and can't easily fix it)

Why don't you just pull your primaries out of the sidepipes and use them?

Thought about that:

A) I haven't tried yet, but I bet "pulling them out" will turn out to be a massive PITA. These things almost always turn out that way...

B) Cobra Inc could use the headers for another FE that wants to use the new engine stand and since my car's been on Scott's lift since Oct , seems like the least I could do is donate some headers.....

C) We already have mufflers that connect to long tube headers for the stand.

They really do just pull out. But, if somebody gives you a set, that would be easier. Are your stub axles back in yet? Uhhhh, we're going on six months now....

Doug-register and ask over on the FE forum. tons of serious stuff there.
Another thought is to call Barry and ask if he's got a lead.

Stub axles back, but radius to where they widen out was different and was interfering with installation, so need to be machined....delay is mostly me and my crazy schedule these last few months.

How could that happen? Didn't you send the old good one along for a comparison?

Of course, but it's not immediately obviously that it would interfere and everything else is the same. You don't notice until it's all the way in and even then it took a little bit to figure out what the problem was. It just won't go in the last 1/4". I didn't send him the entire diff. Although I might this time.

Dag... I would have just used a little JB Weld on the broken stub axle. Would of been good as new. Maybe better.

Great idea. I still have all the broken parts. Why didn't I think of that?

With 268 HP pouring through it, YOU could get away with that....
