Default Lambo (Miura) up in flames

They may go fast but they also burn fast too.

Very sad. I couldn't watch it all. The Miura is my all-time favourite Lambo.

Me too ... at least no one was hurt.

Probably a burst fuel hose or loose fitting.

What a shame! I also think the Miura is one of the coolest cars for its time.

If that was mine I would have run down to the hardware store, bought a garden hose, hooked it up to the fawcet on that house and had that thing out with half the damage, and I wouldn't have been standing in the flames not knowing my pants were on fire! That is a real shame.
TN Shelby Cobra likes this.

When they were attempting to open the hood all I could think of was what looked like fuel igniting on the ground from a split tank and the resulting flames licking the guys pants. Moments from UNCONTROLED fire.

Sad, watch Jay Leno's video of his yellow Lambo.
He talks about one day he looked in his rear view mirror and thought it was raining.
It was a fuel line that popped off. He said he got out grabbed a fire bottle and was waiting for it to burst into flames! Yikes! Always have an extinguisher in your car handy.

Fire suits are fire resistant, and not all drivers keep a cool head in those situations. It was hard to watch even as the sirens wailed in the background.

I am glad somebody's life did not depend on those firefighters, it was like watching the three stooges.

Yes that crack team of fire fighting professionals managed to save the valve stem cap on the right front wheel and the hood emblem!
Props to all involved.....
