I have to go to heroic lengths to protect my favorite wool sweaters, and they still get eaten. I have no idea how you would keep moths away from that tasty Wilton Wool.

We don't have moths in AZ, they can't take the HEAT...

Is this really a problem for auto carpets? I've never seen or heard of moth or insect issues with car interiors.

Every other car in the world doesn't use wool carpet.

Mental note to self. Don't relocate and live near Patrick.

I have it in my Cobra. Depending on the extra cost, Wilton wool may give your car a more luxurious feel to it. It's got a nice feel to it, to the touch, but who the heck notices it. I tell you who. No one.

Kirkham now doesn't appear to offer Wilton Wool as an option anymore, at least on their website. Once upon a time, it was a $1,500 option from Kirkham, though back then it was negotiable.

They gave me a choice of Wilton or synthetic, no extra cost or savings either way, I opted for the wool...

They were trying to dump the wool. If you live in an area where you have trouble keeping your favorite cashmere from being nibbled on, then one day you will go out to your Cobra only to find the wool teeming with larvae and excrement.

You know Patrick, if you're hungry, I'll buy you something to eat! You don't have to eat your sweaters OR your carpet!

There's Wilton wool carpet in my kit car. In September 2013, that carpet will be 19 years old.

The car is kept in my garage. The garage door remains open most days of the year, except during the coldest portion of winter and when there is a hard rain and wind. Today I finally swept out the last of the oak leaves that were stuck under and around some things.

During the period Nov.-April, there is a crappy $39.00 car cover on the Cobra.

I see some yucky black spiders in the garage occasionally.

We're so fortunate the moths haven't bothered the carpet, at all. Life's good!

David
