Default Shelby Cobra Challenge

In around 2000, there was a race series created for the new Shelby CSX4000 called the Shelby Cobra Challenge for senior driver as a support races during the CART Indy races, with 8 cars being built. There were also 5 frames built. I am having a professional model builder convert Franklin Mint Elvis 427 Cobras into the different Challenge cars made. There have been several different decals shown by the different owners since the race series never had an official race since the CART series folded. Can anybody help? The best set were on CSX4116.

I'm not sure what your asking. However here are a couple of threads here.

You may be better off financially by using the Revell/Monogram 1/24 scale 427 Cobra model kits as a starting point. These kits are plentiful and may only cost 15-20 bucks each. You can also have special decals made by any one of several guys who frequent the auto modelling forums. Good luck.

Ivscoy1,
Call Tom Barnard at Speedway Classic Cars (702 651-0708) in Las Vegas. He built the cars and is still building a few. Check my gallery and you will find a few in there. I transported his car (#8) and two others all over the West coast for years!
