Shelby American Incorporated Replica
I just bought a Shelby American Incorporated Replica. It was purchaed by the first owner in the late 90's. Can anyone enlighten me about the car or the manufacturer?? Any knowledge/expertise would be appreciated.

How can anyone make a substantial purchase of anything and not know what it is or anything about it??
Start by giving us a CSX number.

I have high doubts that that is a Shelby American replica ;-) I will guess it simply has a SAI replica footbox tag on a car produce by ???

I don't know, but those sorta look like real magnesium Halibrands.

Actually last month.
But the pic is so friggin' small that all I can see is the shade of magnesium on the centers.
Or maybe I'm just SO waiting on some mags of my own that any wheel looks like magnesium right now.

Just because someone put a serial number plate on it that says Shelby American, does not mean that it was actually built by Shelby. Those knockoff spinners look fake to me. What is the serial number?

I don't know much but if they keep pushing on the corner of the windshield like that they will need a new one.

No not mag Hali's. Probably Centerlines with inserts.
Roll bar looks too short for a CSX. Cheesy black side mirror doesn't help.
A Benz and a Roller in the background is interesting...

Rear fenders too narrow/tall/vertical, or whatever, for CSX.

I guess to respond to why I bought it ... I have been buying and sellling cars for more then 20 years, many exotics, Ferraris, Porsches and the like. I just recently purchased the Cobra and had the opportunity to sell it the next day for a $19,000 profit, but have decided I like it would like to keep it for awhile. After researching Cobras a bit, I have become somewhat familiar with them, and it was my thinking that a forum such as this might be an avenue to learn more about the car from people whose expertise exceeded my own.

Sounds like a nice deal. What did you pay for it and what are the specs of the engine? And just ignore a lot of the guys on here -- they're no doubt jealous of the killer deal you got.
