That's exactly what we got for a starter track car. It's been great. With a bit of looking, you should be able to get a quality, sorted and prepped track car (roll cage, built track engine, track suspension, brakes, etc) for $10-$12k. We have 3 examples of '95 mustangs that were just that in our local club.

I can attest to the quality of that build....Don ran that thing at Watkins Glen a few years back, when he owned it and it was real fast and handled very well.
