A few years ago I found a 1967 Volvo GT for a friend in North Carolina in Canada and he had a hard time with the Customs paperwork, you might want to look at this before you buy.

the motor having iron heads and the factory iron manifold raises a few flags on the components inside the motor. I would say the motor may be still a 70'ish factory motor....and would not put the car in the 36k category.

why when building a motor would you put 1000 to 1500 dollars into heads, iron ones, doing guides, hardened seats, new springs...when you can buy aluminum heads with all of that for a couple hundred more...
why put a restrictive iron intake too when for 300 or less you can upgrade to a better intake......answer is it was running when he got the motor and gaskets seals and paint is cheaper...

the more i think about it the more i am suspect of a plain jane factory motor with unknown mileage, probably alot, in the car....

ask for receipts or some proof of a rebuilt motor...to rule out a 40 year old motor with 100k miles
