Roger, every Cobra built in Australia needs to have retractable lap/shoulder belts fitted. As such, all manufacturers build it into the chassis from the start so it's a simple bolt-in solution for the builder.
My Arntz needed the new belts fitted, so a local fabricator and CC member welded in some brackets to the existing horizontal tube inside the trunk. Obviously, you need the shoulder belt to go over your "inside" shoulder to get the highest possible mounting point in the Cobra.
The belt retractor was fitted down behind the seat, but still within the interior. You may also wish to consider putting the retractor inside the trunk to tidy things up that little bit more.
The roll bar wasn't mounted when this pic was taken, so don't pay any attention to the roll bar tube. The seat belt mount is the one welded to the horizontal tube behind it.
