Default Monster Cobra Concept

I am going to break this into two threads: Monster Cobra Concept & Resurrection Cobra.

Monster Cobra:

In the 1960's and early 70's my grandfather, who was big with what we know now as the military industrial complex, use to host friends on his yacht during launches at Cape Kennedy/Canaveral. I was young when he hosted Carroll Shelby and a few of his crew. I do remember two of the astronauts and that german rocket designer was present too. There was a lot of diving done days before a launch and I remember Shelby or one of his guys was talking about what one other man said was impossible. It was technical talk but what struck me was Shelby said if you do that you call it a monster cobra. This was about 1967 or 68.

Now we all know about the dual paxton supercharged cobras and the super snake Shelby GT500 but has there been a cobra built using the name monster cobra (MC)?

About a half dozen years ago at a fundraiser I asked Shelby if it was ever built. He didn't remember the conversation back in the 60's but said it would be a good name for a one off special, a monster Shelby or MS as I joked.

Years ago I saw an actual monster truck with a cobra looking body on it that reminded me of that conversation years ago.

If you ever heard anything please post what you know or remember.

Thanks

I'll post the second post in a few days.

Not that I am aware of...and I am pretty aware.

...and by 67/68. they were pretty much out of the Cobra business.

It wasn't for production for the public, I took it as for personal use and I may be off on the year. Yeah I know by the time of the airport facility lease running out a short time later the last cobra was sold.
