Why didn't FordRacing post this? lol

Question: Would this "351 based block" fit into a 289 Cobra?

I read about that. Not bad. But I think a couple of builders here could do the same or better (power wise), for less money and higher quality. Ford racing is starting to get a bad reputation for their crate racing engines.

The 351 based block is the Boss block; very similar to the Dart block. It is externally a 351W. Side by side, you can't tell the difference between a 460W and a 351W. If your car can fit a standard 351W, it can take a stroker monster.

Sure a lot to consider when contemplated 460 ci. The sky is the limit and the choices mind boggling. It boils down to wanting a big or a small block 460.

I tend to agree. Not a lot of benefit from adding a lot of cubes if you are not going to use them wisely. I visit a GM LS forum and those guys are getting 600 hp from a 408cid with no turbo, nitrous, or supercharger.

My 408 Clevelands will hit 600 hp naturally aspirated without issue.

A 460 SBF has been around for quite awhile. Nothing new there.

Yep, hard to believe that not all non chebby engines will make that kinda power, but they do.

I think my world block 351w can be built to 460 cubes, but I can't remember.
