Default Seat belt help needed!

I purchased the Mustang Cobra belt for my Cobra from Branda. Unfortunately, I often have trouble unhooking the latch (randomly it seems to get really really tight!)... It is so tight that I keep a small screwdriver in the car to pry it open. There is no rhyme nor reason for it sticking (hot day/cold day) and both belts do it.

I tried to loosen the 2 small screws on theside of the latch but they turn very little if at all.

Is there any advice on how to resolve this?

Thanks!

If the problem is random I'd suspect something fouling the spring loaded ball that keeps the latching arm secured. Not something you'd want to try to fix on your own so send them back for a replacement.

I agree with Don. The belts should come loose easily and it it takes a screwdriver to get it open part of the time then something is not right. What happens if you are unfortunate and have a wreck and it decides to stick and you can't reach the screwdriver.

I would try polishing the duckbill until it works properly.
