Default First ever Cobra at Villa D'Este

Hello everybody, just wanted to post some photos I took this year at Lago di Como at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2013.

It was reportedly the first Cobra ever accepted there.

A rare RHD AC Cobra, COB 6038.

Stunning car and very well presented.
It seems Cobras are also biting the Concourse world now!

What does the COB prefix stand for? Do you mean CSX6038? I'm confuzzled.

The Cobras made by AC for the European market had "COB ..." numbers. Shelby was pretty much occupied with feeding the American market, so he left the Euopean one to AC Cars.

Refining that slightly....COB cars were RHD cars for the British (home) market, and COX cars also came out of the AC factory doors, but were LHD cars for the continental European market.
That's generalizing as I think I remember there were a couple of cars that broke those rules.
Incidentally, nice venue there at Villa d'Este
Cheers,
Glen

That is correct!
It is good to see Cobras amongst the top level historic cars!

Slightly off topic, I stayed at Villa D'este 2 years ago and the hotel and locale was among the most people places I've been thus far. Truly stunning place. The Concorso must've been very cool to see.
