Billboard stencil on non Good Year tires??

I like the idea but would have to be on Goodyear tires, like our kit Cobra's they are not right without Ford power under the hood or so I have been told.

Real Billboards have a significant bulge on the sidewalls. It adds to the retro look. No radial would ever provide that level of detail.

As far as whether to stencil or not, to each his own.

The real ones and the Avons - hmmmmm? I don't see a difference...(bulge wise)

Verify your stenciling. The "A" in both GOODYEAR and EAGLE has three breaks in it, not one. You can even see that in the one pic you posted of real BB's.

It's all in the details.

[You may experience better adhesion using Plasti Dip. It has a good grip and will definitely flex with the tire. Its lasted years on my tires. Try some mineral spirits on the area to be painted to eliminate the oily surface.

The Continental Grand Am spec tires I run on my open track car are not-so-secretly made by Hoosier, with a Continental stencil in yellow...

I'd stencil yours as Avons if it were me.
