Default Wiring loom material-what to use for the OE look

I am ready to tie up the wiring harness in the engine compartment and want to put the wires in a loom of some kind. Was the typical plastic split loom used in 65 or is there a more original looking material available?

Part# 70970 Details | Painless Performance

The classic braid Painless Wiring looks good. We use it a lot.

What are you trying for, Original '65 British (AC Cars) or '65 US (Ford)?

It would be a mix.
The engine compartment would have very little loom mostly tape and the chassis tape.

Pretty sure I'm not "Shelby or AC correct" but I wanted an old school look so I used a NAPA product called Ashphalt Coated Fabric Loom. Comes in different ID's and is cheap. Example P/N is 737103 which is 3/8" ID.

Here are a couple of pics:

I used different ID's dependent on the number and size of wires I was "looming".

Cheers
Greg

We call it friction tape,
Friction tape is a type of adhesive tape made from cloth impregnated with a rubber-based adhesive. Sticky on both sides.

check with Del City, They have a lot of automotive products you can use.
