Default One Free Panoramic Photo

I have been going through boxes of older photographs and I came across a panoramic photo of the parking lot at SAAC 7 in Jersey? It was from Crabtree photography. I had purchased several of these and had them professionally framed decades ago. It is a very long photograph from an antique panoramic camera. Believe me I know cause I almost fell from my great grandfathers mansion trying to get a picture of the skyline with one of these cameras. This is not framed and was not in its protective sleeve. It's been slightly pressed so there are slight waves in the pic. It still would be a nice picture to pin up in a garage like some guys show in their garage pics.

If you want it send me a PM if you have a PO box or business addy to send it to. I only have this one. Preference to someone who attended SAAC 7. I'll check messages in the morning and the person getting it can then send me shipping info.

I only have one.

Peace

Jeff..when you get it, scan it (even in pieces)

It would be nice to publish in the next Shelby American.

If someone wants it for scanning it's not a perfect picture. I believe it's from that SAAC meeting in Jersey when that big banner was stolen and some guy put it into his barn. I'll check messages in the morning but the photographer went to a few SAAC conventions so I know others purchased these.

Most vintage pics are not perfect.. retouching a scan is no problem.

I was at the convention in NJ with my dad and brother. We went over and were talking with the photographer when he was setting up the panoramic camera. There was a Daytona Coupe in the picture that had a rock under one of its wheels as I suppose the parking brake was not up to its job. After the picture was taken it occurred to me that we could have been in the picture instead of behind the camera.

FWIW, some blueprint companies have the equipment to scan large long documents such as renderings and panoramic pics. Might be worth looking into.

I think that rock is heavier than the car.

I might have been wrong but I still think crabtree used an antique camera. it would rotate slowly as it took the picture. Along with this pic I came across ones that I took when I almost fell off the rooftop. I didn't even know I was slowly sliding on the roof tiles and Cozy grabbed me with one arm and pulled me back. That camera smashed into about 100 toothpickss. I just scanned the pics for an architect that has a blog that preserves the history of places built back then.

Jeff answered first, let him have the picture. He even knows what room he wants to put it in.

The camera they used at the convention was definitely an antique and it used a roll of large format film. I remember the photographer saying that he made contact prints from the negative. So the negative would be the same size as the print. How big is the print? I think he said he might develop the film in the bathtub of his hotel room so he could sell prints at the convention.

There is the panoramic camera at the top right.

It looks like that probably took 8 inch or 10 inch roll film.

Have any more, as that Grabber orange 69 GT500 in the background should be the one now sitting in my garage
