Trunk latch
Hi guys:
I am trying to have a key made for my trunk of my West Coast Cobra and the idiot locksmith near me can't find a blank that will fit I find that hard to believe.
That said I am supposed to have a Wilmot Breeden latch but this is a UK company and is no longer in business. I am attaching two pictures of my latch to see if anyone has the same type and can tell me where to find a blank for them.
Tks
Lou (Basque 1)

Trunk latch
You can buy a new latch with key from finish line ass. $50 or Hanes Hotrods & Cobras $35.

I saw them today but they only have the trio of hood and trunk latches for $160.
I don't hood latches and only need the trunk I will try Hotrods & Cobras instead.
Tks

I am so happy and literally overwhelmed with this posting. I had this posting on the other forums; Cobra registry and some folks responded very nicely as well.
One fellow from France sent me some info that he had some spares that might help me out and for me to send him the dimensions and info on my latch for him to match it.
Well long and behold, yesterday I got a package notice fro the USPO from overseas. I got a package from France with a brand new latch exactly like mine with two keys as a gift .Despite the fact that I had mentioned to him that if there was any cost I would reimburse him.
That is pretty amazing how Cobra owners help each other out as a close knit brotherhood.
As a Freemason myself of many years, that is the only place that I have seen this until now. Wow wow!!!
Thank you all for the help, I really mean this!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way I just found out that this great guy is also a member here as ViperGTS, thanks Jean Michel.
Sincerely
Lou

Lou,
That is great news and Jean Michel is a member of our site also. And yes, the Cobra people sure seem more willing to help each other out than some of the other makes of cars that I belong to their sites. Now your Cobra is complete again. Maybe you should have another set of those keys made just in case.
