Well I am a MAN and actually I drive a street roadster with NO roll bars! So much for "sensitive"!!!!!

You can recognize me by the road marks on my forehead!

You know, I think I'll get my wife a rollbar. It'll sit in the garage, but a rollbar nonetheless.

Do you have any pics of her airbags?

(Did I say that out loud?):eek:

What's the name for a single rollbar all the way across?

That wouldn't be gentlemen like, buddyg. ;)

It wouldn't be a determining factor for me on whether I wanted a particular car. You can convert it to whatever you want after you buy it.

What a load of BS. I love my wife, but when she's in the car, I don't drive fast. Do you have a rollbar in all your cars? You know that flimsy sheet metal roof on your wife's car will cave in like cardboard if she ever gets upside down. Love has nothing to do with it.

I think you should read this thread and then re-respond. ;)

... not to mention the low profile of that roll bar pretty much makes it useless ... except for being an exceptional skull cracker on rearenders.
... good example on how not to do a roll bar

I'm certainly no expert, but I'd have to agree. Much safer to run no roll bar at all.

In a roll over I'd be just as concerned about the wind screen folding backwards and getting decapitated.

That does it - although I just finished it, I'm never driving it again beyond the driveway. It will just become a full size scale model for garage display purposes only.

And the women in the driver's seat is looking at a map for the nearest hospital. Someone should let her know that a map app on a smart phone is faster. Or just ask Siri.

dallas_ 02-12-2014 12:12 PM

All kidding aside, that roll bar looks like it would do more harm than good.
