Agreed 100%, not even close to as cool, great car but the Cobra is King when it comes to 1960's muscle sports cars, you can't argue with power to weight ratio...

"Not nearly as good looking" is obviously subjective. Tiger owners feel that Tigers are a better looking car. They're fanatical about their cars. As for faster, I suppose that depends on the individual driver, Tiger and/or Cobra.
And they're real production cars, appreciating quickly, not replicas of originals. |

I'll give you a Tiger and raise you a Cobra...kids today don't even know what a Sunbeam is, Cobra a different story, Honda Civics will probably be worth more than a Tiger one day when all these rice burners grow up and make some money. Those will be the cars that remind them of their youth, lol lol...not a Tiger...

I think you are probably kidding.
Now I would be the first to admit that the muscle car market is a bubble that is fueled by demographics but there is a collector car market for cars based upon a number of factors like history, rarity, beauty, performance, ect...
The values of 20's cars is not fueled by people who remember them from their youth.... for example the Bentleys, the Rolls, the Duseys.... those cars are investments. When the music stops, I wouldn't want to have paid 2 million for a Hemi or a L88 or ....
I suspect the original Cobras, the SWB Ferraris, the 300sls ect will continue to appreciate and the Tiger will also..but because it has no significant race history, something like a Pantera. In any case, I think Rod is right that the Tiger is a original and will increase in value, I am not aware of any mass produced replica that has.
Of todays cars, the Ford GT, the Veyron, the F1, any factory team Corvette or Viper, some of the Caddies, Mercedes, Porsches ect.... it is possible that the 993 will be the 356 of the future.
One of my grandsons is going to get that SPF and if he doesn't kill himself, will have a lot of fun...but the one that gets the 110 hp restored 1959 356A will make some money.
The Civic...I think not.

Really, how many people in the 1960's thought their Mustangs, Camaro, etc that they paid 3g for could and would sell for 50 60 100g, think about it again...Put it this way any car that was featured in the movies Fast and Furious in years to come will sell for big bucks and we will all say I had one of those Civic Evo's etc should have keep it cant believe it's worth 20 times it original price,lol lol...who ever thought a VW bus would ever be worth 100,000g...Barret Jackson did

Did you say the Tiger DOES NOT have any significant race History, you do know the first cars were built to and race in Le Mans, I think you need to learn a little more about the Tiger...
