Well to clarify the question is really for the street. It's obvious the bigger wheels and tires would be better for the track.

So answer the question based soley on street driving.

Then 15s are sufficient. The reason I prefer 18s for track is the wide choice of R compound tires. Tire companies have mostly abandoned performance 15s.
