Default Exhaust Gasket - Recommendation

I have picked up a little ticking in my header to head.

I haven't had to replace an exhaust gasket on anything in years. What's the latest and greatest recommendation for a SBF with AFR 205s? Any other advice?

Thanks,

I used the soft copper exhaust gaskets on my ERA, which was my first use of them. They cost a little extra but the ease of installation and removal/reinstalation if the need arises is a real benefit. They seal up really well also.

I use the same soft copper gasket on my big block. Cost verse failure of product is well worth it.

I have a pair of copper gasket hanging on the wall. They did not work for me but it may be my header flanges.

What does work is Percy's laminated aluminum gaskets.

If you have 3/8" thick flanges and they are straight almost any gasket will work.

If Remflex makes a set for your car, get them.

I haven't used a gasket in years. Nothing but red high temp silicone sealant. Easy to use, fits perfectly, and lasts. Cheap, too.

I always use the aluminum exhaust manifold gaskets from the parts house. As said earlier, important thing is having straight flanges.

I have the graphite ones. They seem to work perfectly.
