Default Can you identify this Cobra?

Hello, does anyone happen to know the exact name of this AC Cobra? (model/year)

Cheers!

At first I thought it might be a nicely modified ERA FIA but after closer look the dash gage arrangement is different, no trunk dimples (although trunk lid has been split), rear of the front fender flares are not as pronounced. and I'm not sure the hood scope is per ERA. Maybe a Superformance with a 289 roadster gage layout??

I was going to sat the same thing, CSX2402. If it's not, pretty good replica!

Wow - an original, left unattended in a public parking lot, next to a housewife's minivan - that thought never occured to me.

Yep, top has been taken off but note the trunk. It's set up for the top.

Why would you want the trunk split?

BTW have no idea what that is. I tell ppl when they ask if it's real "What do you think the chances are that you would see $1/2 mill plus car just sitting in a parking lot unattended?"
Go figure

Really!

The car generally raced with a fast back hardop in place and the split trunk was to allow access to it with the hardtop in place. I haven't had much luck scalping a picture of it in vintage races to post here but you can google CSX2402 or look it up on this website. Most photos show the hardtop in place.

I know the owner owns a 1mil-1,5mil$ Ferrari 250 GT Cabrio, 600k$ Aston Martin DB4, 900k$ Mercedes 300SL, an old Rolls, a couple of Austin Healeys and a couple of Alpines (that's all I've seen of him). So I do think this car is a real AC. This picture was taken about 100m from the building he bought to keep his cars in, when he was moving them in. It was only parked there for about half an hour, it doesn't have license plates on so it wasn't legally allowed to be there.

Thanks for the answers guys!

What country is it located? I noticed the plates on the vehicle next to it were not USA.

I have this pic of it with the top on. I have others somewhere but can't find them at the moment.
I like this exhaust better than it's current system.

This is such a petty comment, but my goodness, those wheel weights are awful! If CSX2402 is raced (and I do believe it is), I can't imagine that being CSX2402.

I was thinking Hawk. Wouldn't be the first replica to do the racing while the owner has the original stashed away.

I would guess the pictures were taken in France?

I was thinking the B on the van indicated Belgium, but that could be incorrect. And given that 2402 has had both its original chassis and alloy body replaced over the years, it's likely that it is still "2402" being raced instead of a Hawk clone.

The car next to it is indeed from Belgium but this picture was taken in Switzerland.
