Default Tail of the Dragon

Thinking about organizing a Cobra drive on the Tail of the Dragon. Any tips for hotels, must see stops?

rgnbull1227, when are you thinking of heading down? My wife and I are looking to make that ride also and to do some exploring for future residences in that general area. We'd be trailering down and finding different "bases" to explore from. Not meaning to invite ourselves, but wondering if you'd enjoy some company. Thanks, Murray

I would very strongly suggest doing the Dragon in the middle of the week, and definately NOT on the WEEKEND

Did it a couple years ago...plan on going down again this year with some guys in a couple Corvettes. Going to head to Bowling Green first to see the big hole at the museum and then over to the assembly plant and watch how they glue the C7 together...then over to the ToD via Athens and the Cherlohola Skyway. Here's my report from a couple years back. Enjoy your trip!

Back from "The Dragon" report..

- Allen.

Five of us did the Cherohala on the way over from Chattanooga and them did the Dragon 3 times. The middle of the week is best. Fun ride! Did the Snake a few years ago. Mark

Less cops and crotch rockets during the week too! Weekends are bad! The kill Boy shop has the best T-Shirts! And pictures!
