Sir, u dont know when to stop typing. Being older & wiser dont mean u should be an asshle every day.

You wanna keep Cobras alive for another 60 more years? Not with your type of attitude it wont. Give it a rest, sir.

Again, i wish the original poster, ACE, the best on his new toy and many years of fun, safe driving. Hopefully he will pass on the cobra love to the next generation.

PM if u want the 'last word.' Let's return back to the tread. thk u.

best,
nyg

Did you see the LOL ? I'm sorry that you don't "get" my sense of humor. Did you see the youtube videos that I embedded?

As for being called a derogatory word/name, that doesn't bother me one bit. I'll wear it. I'm a "no excuse" person. But it does explain to me after your 10 (or whatever) posts here on CC the person you really are inside. I'm not the person who advised Ace (and nearly every other owner) that he (or she) isn't a "Cobra guy" because they didn't purchase a $100,000-$200,000 Kirkham or Shelby.

Yes, now back to the thread.

I was in the same boat. I almost pulled the trigger on the BDR. I was looking at around 50K with all the basics. Resale would go down as soon as I left the shop. I just picked up my Superformance, it was under 50K and has MANY extras. Supercharged, Softtop, cab cover, ceramic coated pipes, 2 sets of tires. Billboard are on it now and love them. and the list goes on......The only thing I'm fixing is the speedo. If you look around they are there...Best part is I have it for this summer

Wow I haven't seen just a whole lot of SPF for under 50K. Most of the guys in around here seemed to have paid under 50K used but that was in the last 1-5 years. What kind of new BDR were you getting for 50K.....was it going to have a 302 in it or something?

The issue/problem is that the public never gets to see the final selling price of any non-eBay Cobra sale. I'm sure you can find SPF's for under $50,000. I vaguely remember MrMustang buying an ERA for under $40K (? or low $40's) that had an oil consumption issue, which was just an intake manifold gasket or whatever. Deals do happen with all these cars.

My calculations were $35900 car plus tax = 39800
Trans= 4000
Motor= 6000
Me doing all the work.. This is all on the bare minimum...

My Cobra is named Becky and she is amazing. Best of the fakes. She is pure virgin. Zero miles but plenty of daily smiles.

make: matchbox, USA
model: Shelby Cobra, blue with white stripes
Specs: I think it has a Chevy LS1 engine

nyg

I'm always shocked when RodKnock does what he does. Sometimes he seems so sharp, and then other times.... Oh well, what do I know.

Actually being called "older" hurts.

I think I'm pretty spry for my advanced age.
