Review the definitions in the Registry and you will understand. You should anyway. One category is based on existing and legal fact the other is more definitional. You do grasp that don't you?

The question becomes as to the later if and where the limit is.

Yes, and why you are in such torment about this.

SAAC definition -
Kit Car or Replica: Any car with a body which approximates the original Cobra shape, using any kind frame, suspension, brakes or driveline.

The liberal use of the word "any" puts all replicas in the same bucket, all you have is the good, the bad and the ugly - based on an individual's subjective criteria, just the way it is.

Your words, post #94
SAAC'S position on how all these cars are classified are indeed SAAC's position based on their knowledge, experience, considered thought as an organization that is recognized world wide as "the" authority on all things Cobra.

I say cast out the demon SAAC my child, free yourself of this ungodly burden, unshackle the chains of replica oppression and floor it to a righteous life in that damn fine replica of yours

Hallelujah and Praise The Lord

I'm going to hate myself in the morning, but down the "rabbit hole" I go.

Two things can be equally true. A CSX4000 (used interchangeably for all Shelby continuation models) is legally a Shelby Cobra. And the CSX4000 is a replica, recreation, etc.

Fact: The SAAC Registry states "(CSX4000) is not an exact duplicate; it was actually a new model Cobra-improved, updated and, to be accurate, recreated."

Opinion: SAAC definition's of Kit Car or Replica - Any car with a body which approximates the original Cobra shape, using any kind frame, suspension, brakes or driveline.

I'm climbing out of the rabbit hole now. My apologies to everyone, but I have to respond to the same nonsense that we've had to respond to for almost a decade.

Makes me think this topic had intentially be opened to let Evan have some fun ;-)

I agree: If it says Shelby, it is one. Let the value be determined by the buyer.
Clearly we have to differ between 60s and the new ones.

If I had one from the 60s, I would place a Chevy in it...
