I feel disenfranchised because there was no category for 'really big block'. I'll therefore start a poll next, after Evan polls for how many care what SAAC says. :P

Well why the hell not...better than all of those pollsters calling and asking how the hell I feel about some republican in one of those useless states east of the Rockies.

#1, why do you have to ask someone if you can post something inquisitive, on a public forum?
#2, what would this poll do, other than divide those who have spent the money for a BB vs those who haven't or couldn't?
Seems like a recipe for a class war fire.

I have a 390FE in mine. Must I vote for SB or BB? ;-)

There is zero confusion to be had, the FE is a big block.

I know, but I question the value of this poll. The days when a BB was naturally bigger then a SB are long over.

To run and analyze a survey properly, you would probably have to use Survey Monkey and ask at least 5-10 questions about affordability, authenticity, intended and actual usage, brand, model (289, 427), production and completion dates, age, gender, etc.
And then, get a representative sample of the roughly 1,100 BDR's, 3,000+ SPF's, 800 Kirkham's, 800 ERA's, 5,000 (?) FFR's, 2,000-ish (pure guess) CSX's, Unique's, Arntz's, etc.
The 50 +/- people who answer these polls on ClubCobra is not a representative sample and the polls aren't sufficiently detailed enough to draw any conclusions.

Uhhh, most of us don't really care about the survey results, we just want to irritate everyone on here who isn't exactly like we are.

Is there a point to this survey? If so, what is the point? Are you attempting to prove, refute or invalidate a statement, theory, claim, assertion of some kind?
Let's say that 70% of the 427 Cobra's have SBF's.
And of that 70% who own 427 Cobras with SBF's, 60% of them could afford any engine configuration they wanted, but chose SBF because of one or more of the following:
a) SBF's rev quicker than BBF's,*
b) SBF's are easier to maintain than BBF's,*
c) SBF's don't leak, BBF's do,*
d) SBF's are lighter and Cobra's will handle better when SBF's are installed,*
e) SBF's are cheaper to build than BBF's *
(* according to some)
And what does that get you? None of it means anything since the sampling is tainted by: a) opinions, b) every engine is built differently, even by the same engine builder in different environments on different days, c) engines have not been weighed, d) cars have not been weighed, e) FI or carb, f) aluminum or steel flywheel, blah, blah, blah.
This survey and any survey that follows is useless and a waste of server space.
Thank you very much. I'll be here all week. And tip your waiters and waitresses.

Who is "we" as used in your phrase "who isn't exactly like we are"?
Last time I checked you own a beige Cobra fitted with a faux-FE (428).

Truer words were never said Sheldon, except maybe when Jamo said "useless states East of the Rockies".

You guys way over analyze things. I was just curious what the breakdown on Club Cobra was, not some worldwide survey broken down by a thousand variables. And please there are way more worthy waste of server threads on here than mine.
If you don't like it stay the heck out of my thread.

I have had both and for my racing I used the small block as our road tracks don't really have enough long straights to utilize all of the power of the big block. And my lap times with the small block were as fast or faster than with the big block. But I went with the SB in the poll as that was what I chose to use.
