Default Come on..is anyone using Procar seats?

I am building an FFR MK4 and am looking for reclining seat options (like you haven't heard that before). It's getting pretty frustrating not seeing much help out there. Specifically, I have seen the Procar line and there are several that I like. HOWEVER, fitting in the limited space is a whole nother issue. There must be some of you out there who have this line of seat or can offer another option. I'm getting pretty desperate, so come on guys....a little help?

I have them in my Lonestar. They were about an inch too wide. The interior installer took the leather off, shaved the fiberglass about an inch on both sides, then recovered them.

I tried to upload an image to my gallery from my phone. It said success, but I can't find it when I view my gallery...

I put the Procar Scat in my B & B about 5 yrs ago. I wanted back of the neck protection. Driver's side slides about 3 - 4 inches, pass. is fixed. I think these seats raised the driver about 1 inch.
I am happy with them, tight fit but they work well.

Now we're talking! This is good to know, but which seats did you install? I'm looking at the Rally Series 1000 because it is the only one that has dimensions that might work. The Elite Lumbar Series 1200 looks good for the back but I think it would be too wide (23") at the top of the seat wings. But then again, the top of the wings will be about 9" off the floor. This is very confusing.

Speaking of photos...... If any of you have shots of your installed seats, I would love to see them. Oh, and please tell me what model they are.

There are two Procar seats that might work for me; Evolution Series 1616 and Sportsman Pro Series 1615. The Evolution is 15 1/2 inches at the base and 21 1/4 at the widest point of the seat. However that measurement is taken at the top of the wings which is 13 1/2" from the bottom of the seat. That allows for some extra room as the tranny tunnel opens up the space at the top. The Sportsman Pro is 18" at the base and 21" at the top of the seat wings. These are made for Corvettes, Porsches, Miatas; otherwise, those with little width for the seat. Anyway, I will check them out and see how they look. Anyone have experience with them?

I responded to your PM. Did you get it? I have the sportsman series in my Lonestar. The PM had links to pictures.

Default Installed ProCar

I just completed installing a set of the ProCar Rally seats. I will take a couple shots and post. It was a bit of work but the seats are a big improvement.
  • Lowered the seat about a 1 1/2"
  • Made adapter plate to use factory bolt pattern
  • Had to slide e-break back 6"

I found a nice set of Sparco brand seats which were narrow enough to fit in my cobra application.

FYI - Lonestars have WAY more room for the seats than FFR, so if they had to be shaved to fit a LS, no way they'll fit in a FFR.
