Think you are doing great job just wanted to point out that the top view of the guns in relation to the head light seam to point off to the side a bit. Not trying to be smart ass but maybe was intentional?

Carmine ,, We haven't targeted those guns yet, still have to find someplace to put the ammo :-) Only kidding,, the barrels are not permanently mounted yet, can't do that untill the housing is plated.

P51,,, I was waiting on rivets, the size I'm using was backordered but came in today so now it's getting set up for the paint work.

We did get the second step of polishing done

Ron,

Excellent!

Is that the rear fender we're looking at?

It is.

The black out is being masked first then the nose section will get the checker board masked and painted

Looking really good. I'm very happy to see this being executed with so much love Clearly you like both P-51's and Cobras as much as I do.

Buzz I will admit there's been a few heated discussions here at MM as to what line, rivet or fastener goes where but in the long run it's going to be very close to the concept.
I will say we are having a ton of fun with this project!!

Masking figured out and paint going on.

The owner is going to have one hell of a time convincing others that this is a 'glass car. It looks like he started with a Kirkham.

Very cool. Love to see one-off projects like this challenge the status quo.

Would be neat if you could somehow run functional under car exhaust to the back of the car with a return loop along side of the car (where the side pipe would normally go) with individual zoomies poking out to the side exiting just in front of the door.

Duane,

We are doing just that. Ron is fabricating a six port exhaust that will look just like a P-51's exhaust, that will be in front of the door. We are also installing an undercar exhaust that will exit in front of the rear tire. (My wife and I like the rumble! ) Both will be functional and selected via a switch. When cruising, we want the exhaust behind us, but still want to be able to switch to the six port exhaust for show. Also, so we can replicate those flickers of flame you see when the Merlin fires up, we are adding a flame thrower to the six port exhaust.

Ron can give more of the details.

Duane,

Was "status quo" for 11 years. Decided it was time for something a little different! Ron's has also been very conscious of what it would take to return to "original" status if we ever wanted to do so.

Thanks Duane

Working on getting the exterior details completed before the graphics arrive.
Our fabricated gun/directional light pods came back from being plated a few days ago and we got them polished and installed!!

Guns/lights look awesome! Are they functioning yet? (Lights, not bullets! )

Looking really good!

Here's what it's going to look like when it's done
Actually I had done this cartoon Cobra a while back with the hood scoop replicating the P51's belly scoop.
