1985 CCX is correct
I have worked on eight different brands and all have problems, just different problems!
If you assemble a kit yourself you need a lot of tools. Welder, grinder, drill press, etc
The easies is the Cobra you can drive

Another option you could look at is lone star classics, they offer a complete kit for under your budget and they also offer a 7 day build if you want help with the build.

I'm new and stumbled on this forum and I was JUST about to post something similar. I posted on another forum asking the same and Factory Five Racing was all the rave. Are there any other Cobra sites?

Club Cobra has members all over the world
FFCars has over 38,800 member from all over the world
If your a member of these two, I think you will have the Cobra thing covered.
Most of us are a member of both forums.

It's a little higher on the price scale but, ERA is a pretty easy assembly. There are a few Jobs where an extra set of hands will come in handy but, you can't avoid that with any car. You can even have them deliver it to you with frame bonded to the body & painted, ready for assembly.

Seriously, the Hurricane is the most complete kit around. You get everything except the engine , trans , drive shaft, wheels & tires. Nice thing is you don't have to go shopping for things to complete the car.
I've got 21000 miles on my Hurricane and it's probably the most reliable car I've every owned. In addition, it is well designed and is very authentic. The newer Hurricanes come with floor mounted peddles too, way too many things to mention.
Suggestion compare all the kits available and choose the one you like best.
Good luck, Bill

I've been looking at Hurricane and Factory 5. Seems like both offer complete kits that need the items you outlined (plus paint) but I don't think Factory 5 includes a rear end but it's also $1,500 cheaper. They have a IRS for $2,199 vs. $4000 for the Hurricane IRS. All being somewhat equal, seems like Factory 5 has a huge following and looks to be a better frame design.

If you want a well-built, accurate looking replica that goes together very easily, you owe it to yourself to check out Unique Motorcars. Great cars and even greater people manufacturing them.
