Which narrow tubular A arms to get?????

Based on my other thread regarding how to get my tires inside my fenders, I need to remove the stock control arms and install narrower (5/8") A arms and get new wheels with a deeper offset. I am looking for guidance as to which manufacturer makes the narrow arms for coil over shocks. I believe I need the coil overs to allow adjustment to the ride height if the tires are close to the fenders. Currently I do have strut rods and a front sway bar. The sway bar will probably need to go if the front gets narrowed. The strut rods - not sure. Any advice and pics would be great.

Look at the shorter upper and lower control arms at Speedway or Heidts.
There are probably a number of other street rod Mustang II suppliers on the net and on e-bay.

I have been on Speedway's website, who also reps Heidt's, and checked ebay as well. I am looking for some personal experiences so I don't make another mistake on the front end. The ebay stuff is priced right, but it lacks information about the product.

Call this place in Arizona. They manufacture everything right there and they can make you any width you want it you ask. They made a set for me that was 1.25" narrower than standard without any special price. Their arms are strong and a lot better quality than the name brand versions.

How does your car ride with that short of an A arm? I was told by another Cobra guy that with 1" arms, his car "porpoised" around corners but was fine in a straight line.

I would imagine that with the arc created by the shorter Control arms would require stiffer shock valving and springs.

I converted the car from a Mustang 2 spindles/rotors/brakes to one from a 1998 Cobra, so everything was changed. These guys made the M2 a-arms shorter for me so I could adapt them accordingly.

Call them. They can help you with what will work and what won't.
