@Rick:
Many thanks for the help and the great information you did share on this forum.
I was always looking on the threads for your avatar with the red cobra as I was 100% sure this information will be of great value.
There are a lot of nice guys up there, at the eternal race track, waiting for you with open arms.
RIP

Sincerest condolences to Rick’s family and friends.

I am very sad to hear about Rick, I imagine it is a very great loss to his friends and family and my thoughts are with them.

Whenever I saw that Rick had posted on the forum I knew it would be worth reading, he was very generous with his vast knowledge and I feel privileged to have been able to share it

I'm still having trouble with this. Rick and his son both are customers of mine and I spent a lot of time on the phone, PM, and email helping Rick with his new SBF engine build.

Just really hard for me to accept seeing someone's post on one day, then the next day they're gone.

My condolences to his family.

Very, very sorry to hear Rick's gone - had to be a major shock to his family.

Rest in peace says it all.
A quick, but sad, ending for a cobra friend that knew no strangers.

I had no idea that Rick had any health issues, this is very sad and shocking.

God Speed Rick
Say hello to the late Frank Dominianni, another very special person who always helped fellow gearheads.

Here are a couple photos from our annual New Year's Day drive that Rick participated in since it's inception. He will be missed.

I never met him in person, but he sent me a PM just a couple weeks ago and we had a short conversation about the 302 Mexican block and small block engines in general.

He told me he had a pending project similar to an engine I'm building at the moment.

Very nice and knowledgeable guy who truly knew no strangers! May he rest in peace.

Clay, which one is Rick?

ACademic 11-17-2014 12:13 PM

{speechless}....

RIP, Rick. :(

Blykins,
The one next the guy in the black shirt.

Maurice

Thanks Maurice...
The smiling guy with the Cobra t-shirt. Rick had owned his slabside for over twenty years and it was pretty cool.

Goodbye and Godspeed to you buddy. I'm really going to miss you.

Rick was so proud of the valve covers that he built. I visited him a couple of times when he was putting them together and he was meticulous about the work in building them. Lots of work, but they gave him a lot of satisfaction.

Wow! Rick & I shared a lot of emails back & forth, over the years. One of the pulleys on my motor, I bought from him. Really sad to hear! I'll miss seeing his posts & the occasional email.

I am in shock, this is not what I wanted to hear. I had email chats with Rick several times over the years trading stories of the old days. He and I both grew up in Fresno although we went to different high schools. RIP old buddy.

What a shock. He was a great contributor to many of us in the hobby. I would say there's a little of Rick in all our cars.

My condolences to his family.

Shock, no idea he had health issues. Condolences to his family.

Pete Munroe 11-17-2014 11:52 PM

All,

This is very saddening and sudden...got a PM from him last Friday.

Not only was Rick helpful on a project, but he would REMEMBER you had something cooking...then, a few months later, out of the blue, a PM..."hey how's the new engine running now..?"

Rick really WAS interested in how you were doing...!

Can only offer prayers for Rick and his Family.

Pete
