I think we're talking about different pictures. Jack Sears standing next to #99, and that's John Whitmore (GT40 legend) standing on the other side....?
Cheers,
Glen

I was referring to the seated picture. You are correct about the other shot.

Dream car for me. Is it difficult to keep the spokes round and in balance ??
How do you keep them clean ?

I don't know as I haven't cleaned them yet. I have only test driven the car. I drove it yesterday after I took the photos. Bryans Racing did a great job on the up fitting of the driveline. This little 260 rocks.

FYI, the vintage photo posted with Dan Gurney and other Cobra team members around the car is of 2259, the first of the 289 FIA Cobras.

I removed the 50th anniversary emblems Friday and will install the original style that I bought from CompClassics next week. The car needs taller tires, maybe 26 inch for the front and 27 for the rear. Can you lower the rear ride height on these cars? The current tires are 25 inches tall. I want to fill the wheel well opening.

You will need to put a few miles, possibly a few hundred depending on the manufacturer of the spring, on the car to get the springs to settle. After that you can have the springs re-arced as needed.

That car has coolness oozing from it... It's oozing so bad that it leaves a trail of coolness on the road behind it...
