I believe you will find that all 50 cars were bought by a small handful of Shelby dealers, not by customers. You will see those cars for sale at Denbeste and Planet Cobra and the others over the next year with the expected price mark up.

I personally don't doubt it a bit. I'm assuming that's the method to "selling out." But I'm sure those sales agreements say something like "we'll promise to buy 10 cars, unless of course, we don't."  |

I may be way off base, but here's what I'm thinking...
1) Dealers told SAI that if SAI sells them direct and cuts them out, then said dealer won't support the car or warranty.
2) Then SAI tells the dealers, "Fine, then book the cars so then we can call them sold."
3) Then there a a bunch of rollers that someone (maybe even SAI) is looking to sell quick and be paid for if /when done!
Like I said, I may be way off base and don't claim to know the inside workings..
