My 289 Unique, and its angry little solid roller micro-motor- Cold Start, warmup, and a few blips of the throttle at the end....

This is from 10+ years ago when I was into track day events. It was a friendly event and the Corvette driver I chased down waved me by because I caught him so fast.

This is from early this year at a Good Guys event, getting ready for Scottsdale in November.
Very slow, so speed is not impressive but handling is good for a slippery asphalt lot on
200 TW tires. The engine is coming out December 1, for a complete redo de-stroking it,
smaller valve stems, new rods with a better ratio, sliding the head inboard for flow and a new ECU. We have too much torque now so going for less torque and more RPM (9200 red line).

That was one heck of a drive Scott. And the Cobra really handles well.

Here is the video from my last drive through the burn area that is just 1 mile from my house. They are still replacing power poles and lines and cleaning up the burned homes. The first part is over very rough road so that caused the camera to click against the windshield as the suspension on the coupe is pretty stiff. The roads around here are worse than some of the dirt ones.

Thanks Twin Turbo, Scott is one heck of a shoe, that is for sure. He has not driven on a road course other than a Jim Russel school approximately 16 years ago. Check out this video of him in my GT3 at Fontana

PS I saw that the Cobra that went to the Mojave Magnum went 186 mph

Thanks for the heads up on that. I see at the same event a VW Passat went 212.4 mph. That must of been one heck of a modified Passat.
You're GT3 looks like some serious fun to drive. That Fontana track looks a little rougher than I would expect for a road course. Cheers.

Here is a video from Scottsdale taken in the first round of eliminations before we got our a$$'s kicked. Worth noting: 62 mph in first with 4.27 rear gears 8200 rpm. I love the sound of that engine. It will be coming out next week for a complete rebuild. If anyone is interested the rotating assembly will be for sale. Moldex crank, Carrillo rods and Wiseco 15 to 1 pistons, ( that is with a small combustion chamber) the very best I could buy.

This is from the Cumberland MD Airport autocross earlier this year. Not *quite* as impressive as #3170.

Sorry about the link. I couldn't get the video to embed for some reason.
