Default Ignition/key Switch

My Ignition switch (the device the car key turns) has went bad. Any idea where to purchase one? I have looked at NAPA, Autozone, and Advanced Auto web sites. I have tried various 1960's cars - Bristle, MG, Ford Falcon & F100, Jaguar, etc. Nothing looks like it. Some are close but use slip on clips rather than stud and nuts.

I think Finish Line went out of business, if my memory serves me. This is wrong. Finish line is still open Any tips would be much appreciated.

Finish line accessories, if you mean, did not go out of business! It did change hands. They are listed on this site by the way way.

My bad. I just found them.

Here is a link to their switch:
Switch, Ignition

Anyone use one of these?

It too is made for slip on connectors, rather than studs and nuts. Anybody know where I can find one with studs and nuts. I would rather not have to cut and reconnect my wires. Or has anyone seen some type of adaptor?

Do you know what kind of vehicle your switch came from or is it one that was designed just for your Cobra?

Yes, I had one of those in my car. Granted most Cobras could be stolen pretty easily with some wire jumping, but that switch is really bad. Take any flat blade screwdriver and push it into the key opening and the guts will pop out.

I bought a Factory 5 ignition switch and had a key made without their logo. It uses a real key instead of a lawnmower key like the one you have pictured. The only issue was the size of the terminals were smaller making it hard to hook up 3-4 wires.

Does anyone know where I can get an ignition switch that looks like this? It came out of CSX6022.

It looks like it's Lucas switch part 31912 from an MG/Triumph.

Hello,

... the web-page of Holden (UK) will be probably well known, if not here is the link:
Switches for vintage & classic cars

There you will find an overview to some different Lucas ignition switches
