On occasion, when the weather is nice. Cobra therapy helps you get through the hectic day

I used my Superformance as a daily driver through several years, in all seasons. Great memories and some really exciting rides in the winter :-)

And back in the garage after another drive home from work!

I drove my car as a daily driver for the first 4 years. Total miles during that time was about 48,000 miles.

That was what I did. Same with the GT. Retired now so it sits in the garage.

I drive to work occasionally for special projects on a Sunday. It's a ninety mike commute to the Chelsea area of Manhattan and I have access to the company garage.

I used to drive my first Roadster to work 2-3 times a month. One of the maintenance workers even made a reserved parking spot for me in front of the building

I try to as much as possible during nice weather. My favorite time is during the fall, nothing like a nice 45 degree morning air to wake you up. My insurance even allows use up to 30 times a year, so I'm 100% legal!

I used to take mine to work in downtown LA on occasion, but traffic was killing me and I would show up in my suit and tie and covered in sweat!

Our office building had underground parking and when I would pull in I can't count how many car alarms I would set off!

The parking attendants loved the car, but finally asked me to let them know when I was bringing it so they could save me a spot way up front and not to take it down below due to the havoc it was causing.

I drive mine 3-4 time a month in the warmer months. I let the security group know at my company and they put one of the cameras right on the car. They've even sent me pictures from the camera of people looking at my car. It's amazing how closely they can focus.

Used to drive the Kirkham anywhere from 1-3 times a week, depending on weather.

I drive the GT40 once or twice...the cobra was much easier to drive around town.

Be careful. Most guys have collector policies. Using these cars as substitute transportation is an exclusion in many collector policies.

Insurance companies LOVE exclusions and will not hesitate to assert them.

Good reminder about insurance coverage, Bill.

I insured my SPF with Allstate on my regular car policy - full coverage and agreed value - with no exclusions on driving, as it was my only vehicle for awhile. Used it for groceries, delivery vehicle for my pc business, as well as daily driver to work.

Make sure you're covered!
Jim

When I built my first one it was the only car I had. I sold my daily driver for a set of wheels. So I drove it to work for one summer.

Im a high school teacher and take the cobra to school usually once every couple of weeks. I found it gave me a lot of cred with some of the more "spirited" teenagers I had to deal with. It should therefore be a tax deduction maybe.
