Shelby american collection annual party and car show

Is anyone planing on going to the annual party/car show this year? My 10 year old son who will be 11 on September 3rd want me to take him for his birthday. Just wondering if it is worth the trip. He is a car/Shelby fanatic (chip off the old block).

It would be a great trip and a special birthday present. Just do it.

I used to live about 15 minutes from the museum and visited 4-6 times a year and know many of the principals. They have a great collection that also trades with the Miller collection so you can see fresh stock. Also consider supporting it through the raffle for the new GT350.

I liked it better in the winter - it was a welcome break at that time of year. Then CS went to one (2008?) and it was a big flu scare and he got real nervous about all the contact and subsequently they moved it to the fall and combined it with the car show. CS never made it to another one after that but they have kept it in the fall anyway. SV had mentioned to me that maybe they would do something in the winter (not as extravagant) and I noticed the drawing for the raffle is at the time the old party would have been. Maybe they will do a little something.

I went in 2011 when Shelby made his last visit. It was a great event. I am planning on again this year.
