Default Milk run, other updates, and stuff I've noticed

So we own these cars and we're sposed to drive 'em right? Went for a milk run tonite. The grocery store is on the corner 2 blocks away, but somehow it took 38 miles and about two hours to bring home the milk. What GREAT weather and a nice drive.

Since my last post, there has been at least a bit of work done to the ole green ford. Removed the roll bar and had the holes patched and repainted. Looks so much better and now I can even put a top on it. New side pipe guards too.

Pic is in front of it's future new home if the general contractor ever gets around to digging a hole...... Nother story.

Frame is all straightened now, left to right ride height is adjusted, and had it aligned last week. Much better driving now that the front wheel no longer rubs on the fiberglass. Note on the steering: many here advised me against changing over to the faster rack. Guy I bought the car from was telling me how hard it steered. I am SOOO glad I didn't listen. Steering is nice and fast, can one hand it while the other is on the gearshift knob, and man is it precise. Just nice!! As an aside, lots of people tell me that I have the steering wheel on upside down.......

Another view:

Interior got a few items, grab handle, and the reason for the milk run tonite: the new gearshift knob. Had milk in the refer, just had to test drive the new knob. Just to let you all know, the car drives better, handles nicer, shifts faster, and probably even gets better gas mileage with the new knob. Probably due to it's slicker surface and lower coefficient of drag? Anyway, much better than the runt of a knob that I had before. really DOES seem to shift better.

So the official report after a thousand miles or so is that I might just keep the car, lol. Rides fine, handles great, is quick enough even though it just has a mouse motor (289, full throttle in first just spins 'em), and gets lots and lots of thumbs up.

Your car looks great, sounds like the upgrades worked well.
For me I would lay the windshield back a little, to straight up for my eye.

Yeah, that is about as far back as I was able to get it. Will look into that before I fit the side curtains

The edge at the bottom of the wind wings should be parallel with the top of the door when set back along the door. Is that right? It seems right to me.
