Some nice models, but many over the top with graphics and colors for my taste.

Default Off topic, yes......

Ahhhh. This is more fun than arguing over Cobra authenticity! I have two Pateks that I acquired in 1985 and 1992. The original Nautilus and the 3940 Perptual. No where's near the size or yours, Jamo, but beautiful non the less.

Yup, those are Yugoslavian Timex replicas, right?

Buffett would've been happy now if he bought those two when you did. Exceptional time pieces, especially those two models (I'd have a tough time choosing).

Yea, agree but I like some of the simpler models. Really want to get a square or rectangular face model.

I'm not a big fan of the Bentley line (a little too much "stuff"), but there is the Flying B Chrono thats just a bit simpler/clean than the rest of the line. I think they throw in a new Bentley too (I could be wrong).

BTW, there are many fabulous places to view/buy the great watches. The one downstairs at the Venetian comes to mind...Armenian salesman there is pushing me to get a certain Portuguese model. Another is the shop next to the Petrossian cavier bar in the lobby at the Bellagio.

But IMO, the bestest place on the planet is at Harrod's. Several years ago, they created the amazing watch shop off the food court. A central area with some nice brands, with halls shooting off in all directions...each a specific brand's factory boutique. I spent hours in there and somehow walked out without buying a damn thing. Thanksbetogod...the dollar wasn't assactly doing too well against the pound that year.

That all being said, it's usually best to find a place that carries a multitude of brands and do business with them over time...easier to do trades with someplace that knows you. For me, that's Shrieve & Co. off of Union Square in San Francisco (moving).

Now you have me interested. What IWC are you looking at. I just sold my Portugese 100 year commemorative. When they came out, they could'nt give them away, now quite collectible.
You ever talk to O.J. on the Panieri's. You need an East coast connection for occaisional "close out" prices.

You like that shape, you should take a serious look at some of the LeCoultre's, particularly the reverso. For years I wore a Reverso Sun Moon which was a great watch, very classy, understated, with a bulletproof in house movement, crystal back. Now, a Franck Muller is my everyday watch. Just a straight 2852 on a strap, but it looks nice and works with a suit and tie.
