Thinking about a move to AZ
I'm giving serious thought on moving out of N. Ca and going down to Arizona. My car is Ca. Smog exempt. I could just imagine trying to pass a smog test. Has anyone brought in a car to AZ and went through their registration? Probably better off leaving registerd in Ca. Thanks bob

AZ is probably the easiest state for registration. You will not have a problem.

Just bought a 40 ford in La, drove to PHX and registered it. They didn't even inspect it.

I bought a SPF 289 Slabside from Hillbank in SoCal, received registration here in Tucson. ADOT never inspected it either : D
BTW, have family that lives in Westwood, close to Almanor. Pretty area!

That's what I wanted to hear..........This is a wonderful place in the summer I'm getting to old and tired of shoveling snow. I've been up here since 1982 so I probably know your relatives in Westwood. It's not a very large place. I'm looking at the Wickenberg area.

Know what you mean. My parents retired there from So Cal, lived out on Almanor penninsula. I visited them once in the winter..every time after in the summer : ) I'm allergic to snow, apparently. They are both gone now, but my oldest brother lives in Westwood. Ayoob's 'department' store still in Chester?
Wickenburg is a nice area-

Ayoobs is gone. Half the store is now an Ace Hardware and the other half is a paint store. I miss the old store with good quality products. Now everything is made in china. The lake is as low as it's ever been. I go out and pick up lost lures from the exposed stumps.....

That's too bad about the town and the lake level. Spent many summers on that lake, you probably have one of my lures
There used to be a steak house in Chester, the Timbers I believe. Not a bad martini there as I recall.
Enjoy the move!

Yup- agree with others here- if you have a California title and current, unexpired registration, then the Az MVD clerk will take your money, and hand you an Az plate, Az title, and a registration card. You will sit in the lobby waiting for your number to be called longer than you will be at the counter, once they call it...
Just take your California reg, your title, and your proof of insurance with you when you go...
