No, vinyl surgical tubing attached to the bleeder screws, terminating in to a clean Claussen pickle jar with a small amount of fluid in it. Then I have my teenage assistant pump the appropriate pedal while I open the bleeder, observing the fluid travel down the tube. After a good flush, I tighten it off and move on. The big Sierras up front have two bleeders on each caliper. I've been doing it this way for decades -- I don't think there's any better way.  |
